Follow for Follow, or nah?

The phrase "follow for follow," has become very common in this era. For my readers who do not know what the phrase intends, it means when you follow someone on social and they follow you back. It is very comforting to know other people support you and vice versa. Following certain people can hinder your elevation in life. There are things that you may be trying to eradicate from your life, but the people who you follow entice you to continue to pursue the things that you've been trying to get rid of. Now, I would never write a post and not be able to tell you about my encounter. With that being said, I am abstinent (low key a virgin, but that's another story lol). Anyways, I began to notice that A LOT I mean just about EVERYBODY who I followed continuously posted sexual oriented post! It became so irritating because the one thing that I was trying to avoid kept repeatedly showing up. Not only were majority of the people I was following and I stress the word WAS, so sexually frustrated  they were extremely vulgar. If you know me you know I used to cuss someone out at the drop of the dime with no remorse, especially if you deserved it. Well, we don't call God Jehovah Mekoddishkem meaning the Lord who sanctifies you, for no reason. God has delivered me from a whole lot of things, and vulgarity came to a cease then came back. Matthew chapter 12 speaks on spirits leaving and returning back with related spirits. When I began to read post that had nothing but profanity, and hang around people who constantly use it, eventually it came back (smh, gone now though not completely lol). I made a vow that if I saw anyone post anything on my timeline that I have been trying to avoid, I would unfollow them instantly. This had became very effective, I began to feel myself shift for the better. Follow for Follow or nah? I encourage to follow, but be wise and when you begin to notice that at this particular season in your life that it's not the right time to follow then UNFOLLOW. You may not be able to handle some of the things you see or hear so just simply  unfollow. Even on Facebook, just delete them and maybe eventually you will be able to be a supporter again. I pray you found the good in the "Follow for Follow," phrase. The photo above is a prime example as to why we should not always follow others especially when we aren't wise. Don't forget to tell yourself  "I am Eudaimonia, without a doubt!"
