A mindset of appreciation

Hey everyone! I pray this post finds you in good spirits, and health! August has come, and now it is making an exit. This month I celebrate twenty years of being a believer, and eighteen years of being baptized. Wow! Time flies! As a twenty-eight-year-old now I am definitely proud of my eight-year-old self for taking that step to have a relationship with God. Everyday hasn’t been easy, but manageable. Being raised in a Christian home gave me many of the values and principals that I embody today. Some people think that once you accept Jesus into your life it’s like a pixie dust effect, and everything good happens. That’s not quite the case. I have encountered some difficult times ever since I accepted Christ into my life. Through it all I had to learn how to appreciate the test, and trials that come my way. I’m going to make this one brief. Life isn’t always going to be easy for us, but with God on our side and believing in a positive outcome for our future, we can’t be stopped. It’s all about perspective. What do you see? No matter what’s obstructing your view, appreciate the journey. We have to appreciate the journey on good days, and bad days. No one ever said the road would be easy, so we must endure until the end. Be reminded that there is nothing we face in life that doesn’t serve a purpose for us! Whether it looks good or doesn’t we must appreciate the journey. “Yet if any man suffer as a Christian, let him not be ashamed; but let him glorify God on this behalf.” (1 Peter 4:16). When we endure the hardships, we serve as a testament to others that they can make it too! Troubles don't last always! “For I reckon that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us.” (Romans 8:18). We have to shift our mindsets to appreciate all that we face. I know it’s easier said than done, but it can be done! There is so much in store for you! Keep going! Much love always!
