Seeing clearly

Hello everyone! I pray this post finds you in great spirit and health! Can you believe we celebrate six years with I am EUDAIMONIA? Woohoo!!! Thank you so much for your support! I pray that you continue to see the good in you and your circumstances and this blog helps you! It has been a little while since the last post. The days have been seeming to run together, and they go by so quick! I know many states are still under a stay at home order unlike here in Georgia. *rolls eyes* I hope you all are staying safe! Many of you probably have or have not seen my post about 2020 still being the year of “Perfect vision” If you haven’t please check it out on my Instagram: @dktj or Facebook: Daryl Kevin Thomas, Jr. Sometimes it is hard to see things clearly especially when the storms in your life are raging. Sometimes it is hard to see clearly when the pressures of life weigh you down. Sometimes it is hard to see clearly when your mind is clouded with thoughts that do not positively benefit you. So, what do we do? I tell my spin class all the time, “Just because things get hard doesn’t give us the right to quit.” So when the storms rage, when the pressure is heavy, and when negative thoughts try to infiltrate our minds we must not quit and continue to see things clearly. We can see clearly that change does sometimes require us. We can see it clearly that sometimes change will come without any warning to any of us. The world is in the middle of a pandemic, and the changes that we face came without warning. We all faced a change that was unprecedented in our own right. Some of us didn’t know what would come next. We were uncertain. Some of us still may be uncertain. Not knowing where our next dollar will come from, if our health will be jeopardized by leaving our home, or if we will ever return back to what we know as “normal”. I am a firm believer that this pandemic came as an awakening for all of us. God wanted us to wake up and see things clearly. God wanted us to wake up and see clearly that we can rely and depend on God. No matter the circumstance God will heal, deliver, and set all of us free. It is up to us to not just see that, but also believe it! The word tells us, “If my people who are called by my name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” (2 Chronicles 7:14).
I’ll be totally and completely honest with you. I found myself not praying as often. I found myself in a place of a spiritual plateau. Although it felt that way, God was still doing something within me. I just had to start to see things clearly. God is not always going to give us the answers right away. We must be diligent and patient. I know it is easier said than done, but if we endure, we will eventually see the harvest. This time that we live in can be described as eerie. A time where a lot of things have been made very clear, and very evident. God has placed each of us here for a very apparent reason. You can face each and every adverse situation that is thrown on your course. You are equipped to handle it! You just have to see it clearly! Not only do we face a global pandemic called Covid-19, we also face a global pandemic called racism that impacts the world on a different spectrum. Some people were too comfortable. God sent an awakening for us to see it clearly that the fight for equality is NOT OVER. Covid-19 and racism has impacted our health in a way that cannot be forgotten. One thing God doesn’t want us to be is comfortable. If you get too comfortable, you’ll get complacent. There is no growth in complacency. We must continue to see it clearly that tribulation will come, but it won’t last forever. It has been 400 plus years since the colonization and the African slave trade in America. To some of us that may seem like forever. This is still an ongoing situation, but in a different manner. We must take solace in the fact that God is within us and we will be able to fight until the end. We must do it together as the human race fearfully and wonderfully made. (Psalm 139:14). I want you to know that although what you are experiencing may seem unbearable, you can withstand! Don’t let your ambitions diminish because of the circumstances that you face. Don’t live your life in fear. Embrace the uncertainty knowing that although it’s out of your control it is CLEAR that God will take care of you. I am a living witness. Things may not go the way you planned it, but the destination is still the same. Conjure up the strength to see it clearly that the end result is for you to win! See it clearly that God is our refuge! A very present help in the time of trouble! (Psalm 46:1). God is our provider! God is our healer! God is with us every step of the way! Don’t let the process deter you from getting to the promise. Stay strong family! See things clear!  2020 is the year of perfect vision. Stop cancelling a year and its events that are totally and completely necessary for our awakening. Just because things get hard doesn’t give us the right to quit! See things clearly and don’t let anything hinder you from moving forward! Not only must you see things clearly, you have to continue to believe even when your vision is impaired! You got this!
